Trouble-shooting solutions for Fiber Optic lighting system Problem : Light source will not operate a) check power supply switch or wiring of fiber light source b) If you should have tried to restart, let lamp cool down for 3 minutes c) check safety fuse attached to power cord plug.
Problem : Light source will not light, but fan is still on. (SWITCH OFF LIGHT SOURCE IMMEDIATELY) a) If you should have tried to restart, let lamp cool down for 3 minutes b) check lamp connections. c) If lamp still does not operate, replace lamp. (always make sure power is turned off when replacing lamp)
Problem : Light source lamp works, but fan is not on. (SWITCH OFF LIGHT SOURCE IMMEDIATELY) a) Check fan connections. b) If fan still does not operate, replace fan.
Problem :Light source intensity dims over a period of time a) Remove fiber harness and check fibers for a flush cut on surface b) Make sure glass filter and color wheel is clean. c) Make sure fan is working properly without direct obstruction. d) Check to see if fibers are melting or discolored (this is a typical cause of improper ventilation)
Problem : Light source shuts down after a period of time. (SWITCH OFF LIGHT SOURCE IMMEDIATELY) a) Check fan is working properly without obstruction b) Check the exterior condition of light source for proper ventilation c) Check condition of glass filter (damaged ?)
Problem : Fibers melt at harness (SWITCH OFF LIGHT SOURCE IMMEDIATELY) a) Check fan is working properly without obstruction b) Check the exterior condition of light source for proper ventilation c) Check condition of glass filter (damaged ?)
