Cold Cathode is a more durable lighting system with high brilliance, lower maintenance

and can be formed in to any shape and designs. The key distinction is that cathodes

are not pre-warmed or hot, but are cold. The greatest advantage of this lighting is the

elimination of dark ends such as that of flourencent lamps. Each lamp can be installed

end to end to appear continuos without joints. Transformers are available today that

can operate up to 30meters of cold cathode lamps (25mm diameter) without flickering.

Lumen output from cathodes is about 700 to 900 lumens per foot depending on transformer

used.

Cold cathode tubes generally come with three (3) sizes in diameter 18mm,

20mm and 25mm.

The life expectancy of cold cathodes (if installed correctly) is 35,000 hrs to

48,000 hrs. This eliminates re-lamping particularly where tubes are in difficult to
reach locations.

Cold Cathode tubes are custom made to the specification of the designer and

can be shaped to almost any configuration and sizes.

Concealed lighting in ceiling coves requires 4 inches by 4 inches laying area.

Cathodes tubes are excellent vibration and impact resistant.

These tubes are butted against the next tube to assure a continuous and steady

flow without any dark spots or hot spots.

Cathodes can be dimmed to as low as 70 to 80 % of its total brilliance without

resorting to expensive ballast and dimmers.

There are a variety number of colors available to blend any color scheme.

This includes a number of white colors such as Warm White 3000K, Daylight 3500K,
White 6500K, Snow White, Super Warm White and Softlite 2800K.
